Workflow and Business Process Management

Workflow, or Business Process Management, is designed to streamline the decision/approval making process for many tasks within your business.  Today, people utilize a variety of methods to move documents around the organization - from email to overnight shipping to simply walking around the office.  But it's more than that, it's the follow up process - the tracking of these documents that consumes valuable time.

In most organizations, there are rules (some more loosely controlled than others) but a generally accepted process of how a request gets approved.  Typically it's some level of hierarchy with additional variable rules depending on whether cost or other factors determine the approval process.  As long as these rules can be defined, they can be automated using a workflow solution like CoreIntegrator®|3.0.

Building a workflow can be as easy as dragging and dropping icons that represent users, approvers and decision making points.  Based on the rules you have established, a document or form may follow any number of paths to individuals, groups of approvers or queues.

As an enterprise solution, you can expand the workflow to other areas of your business providing users with easy to use tools and online forms to instantly start a workflow.  For example, an employee wants to take time off - simply go to an online vacation request form, enter the required data and submit it for approval.  The e-form will route to the appropriate managers for time off approval.  In the end, you will get an email notification that your time off request was approved and the HR department will have record of the approval process as well as data to import to the HR system.
