Solution: CoreIntegrator Workflow for Accounts Payable
About CCS Corporation:
CCS Corporation is a global leader in the environmental and energy services sectors. CCS Corporation is an opportunity-rich growth organization that provides energy and environmental waste management services. Focused on disciplined growth, CCS maintains its long-term comprehensive commitment to environmental stewardship by continually setting - and raising - industry standards.
CCS services the global energy and environment sectors through four major divisions; CCS Midstream Services, CCS Energy Marketing, HAZCO Environmental & Decommissioning Services and Concord Well Servicing.
The Business Need:
CCS and two of its subsidiary companies, Concord Well Servicing and Hazco Environmental, combined together to implement a company wide invoice approval process using CoreIntegrator. The goal was to implement a system with the following requirements:
- An invoice approval system that would address a workforce of approvers and managers that spanned more than 70 different locations.
- A solution that was tightly integrated with both Microsoft Dynamics GP but also their job cost application from WennSoft.
- Flexibility for a sophisticated hierarchy approval process that could be easily maintained with in-house staff.
- Included an enterprise wide content management solution to handle the volume as well as expansion to other areas of the business including Human Resources and Legal.
The Solution:
After an extensive and thorough evaluation process, CSSI's CoreIntegrator product was selected and the implementation process began one company at a time. Today more than 200 people use the system and at any given time more than 5,000 invoices are flowing through the system on track to being approved.
CCS, as a practice, performs internal audits on key software implementations to determine its ROI and investment value. Nickolas Koch, Concord Well Servicing Project Manager for Business Systems provides the following summary:
"After a 3 month internal study performed by an independent group of auditors, it was determined that we are saving nearly 1/2 million dollars each year with CoreIntegrator. The system is now fully incorporated into the way we perform our daily work and it would be difficult to envision approving invoices any other way."
CCS was also able to use much of its internal infrastructure to support the project including existing Multi-function Devices to support the large amount of scanning at all the various locations.
Angela Schatz, Financial Business Systems Analyst for CCS Corporation, was responsible for the largest roll out to more than 50 different locations and is now focused on deploying the PO based workflow that will integrate with their requisitions and purchasing applications.
Future Opportunities:
CCS and its subsidiaries are already looking forward to deploying this technology to other business units including legal and human resources. Debbie Robertson, IT Service Manager for Hazco, is already moving forward with a variety of uses for the human resources department including Hazco University which tracks training and certifications for employees.
